Digital and Field Marketing Specialist The School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee has created a new full-time staff position focused on marketing and recruitment, with a specific focus on digital and field marketing. The SIS Marketing and Recruitment Specialist is responsible for the ongoing creation, implementation and evaluation of strategic marketing plans, to promote SIS's graduate and undergraduate programs, with the overarching goals of student recruitment and increased brand awareness. The successful applicant will have specialized training and experience with digital marketing campaigns. This includes experience with paid search marketing, search engine optimization, social media marketing and other digital marketing tactics. In addition, the person will need to set, monitor and improve key online marketing performance metrics. He/she will also be tasked with maintaining and growing SIS's social media presence via applications such as Facebook and Twitter, and with monitoring and responding to emerging communication platforms. Additional duties include: managing the SIS@UTK email account, responding to (or directing) general inquiries, writing and posting relevant content to the School website, utilizing field marketing strategies and techniques to increase SIS enrollments (e.g., through career fairs, technology fairs, conferences, etc.), and traveling to different locations, locally and nationally, to engage in key recruitment activities.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: B.S./B.A. degree in marketing, communication or related field. Master's degree in relevant area a plus. Experience: 2-3 years of cross-functional experience in digital marketing, direct experience and established track record of running successful digital marketing campaigns, direct experience evaluating digital marketing campaigns, experience with HTML/CSS and other digital publishing tools, experience with social media tools, experience with website analytics tools, experience setting up and optimizing online advertising campaigns though services such as Google Adwords. Experience working at a university or other non-profit a plus. Job Skills: Excellent organizational, project management, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
