Manages the strategic planning and execution of digital and print marketing and communication efforts. Create engaging written and visual content (articles, infographics, etc.) related to select degree programs and program areas to help grow web traffic and drive current and prospective student and performing arts industry awareness. Foster engagement with a variety of NYU School, TSOA UG Drama, and external audiences including prospective and current students, training studios, alumni and industry and media affiliates. Evaluate emerging social media tools, technologies, and trends for potential use, and supports the training of TSOA UG Drama departments, offices, and programs in their social media and website initiatives. Monitor, measure, and report on social media and website and marketing efforts. In collaboration with School and department leadership, develops and reviews campaigns that may include promoted posts on social channels, email marketing, display and video ads and online listings to help recruit and retain top-quality students to TSOA UG Drama. Develop and implement programs and services including special events, activities, resources, publications and workshops geared to the interests of current students and alumni. Consult with other University and School offices to develop and implement social and career development events and communications regarding area programs, including mentorship and internship initiatives.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media studies, journalism, public relations, or a related field
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree
Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience, proven record of accomplishment of developing successful digital marketing and social media strategies and writing experience
Preferred Experience: Work Experience in Higher Education. Prior experience in performing arts production or administration. Published work
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Passion for digital marketing and social media. Proven experience with knowledge of a variety of digital marketing technologies and social media monitoring and measurement platforms. Collaborative and consultative work style; strong partnering and relationship-building skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: In depth knowledge of and contact in NY and regional professional theatrical community and resources.
