PURPOSE: Managing multi-channel marketing initiatives to grow non-aeronautical revenue for the commercial parking business at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategic Planning Develops a comprehensive marketing strategy for the airport’s commercial parking business. Manages all facets of the parking marketing program; develops annual strategic marketing plan and budget.
Marketing, Advertising and Promotions Management Develops marketing strategy to maximize revenue for the airport’s commercial parking business, with emphasis on online/e-commerce parking pre-booking/reservation system. Manages multi-channel marketing initiatives (includes digital marketing, SEO, PPC, SMS, social, in-home, out-of-home). Develops marketing creative and content. Develops promotional pricing, sales and distribution channels; defines unique value propositions and call-to-action oriented advertising for key market segments. Manages the parking advertising/promotional campaign schedule and all media planning/buying activities.
Customer Retention Management Develops strategy to maximize repeat customer revenue and retention, as well as new customer acquisition. Develops comprehensive understanding of the Sea-Tac Airport parking customer and purchase frequency. Manages customer retention management (CRM) and/or marketing automation processes. Develops loyalty/VIP program for parking customers within online parking pre-booking/reservation system.
Project and Vendor Management Provides effective project management for parking marketing program. Develops project plans, business cases, request for proposals (RFPs) and other project documentation. Oversees consultants supporting marketing, advertising and promotional initiatives. Ensures accurate marketing expense and budget tracking.
Metrics, Measurement & Data Analysis Manages reporting, measurement, and feedback systems for the parking marketing program, including customer surveys and focus groups. Develops and tracks marketing KPIs and ROI. Monitors industry trends and the advertising efforts of on- and off-airport parking facilities (local, regional and national).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ideal candidate is versatile and knowledgeable about digital marketing, email marketing, online advertising, social media marketing, graphic design and customer retention management. Requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple and changing priorities. Must be able to develop a marketing strategy, and execute a campaign with a variety of tactics and varying levels of budget. Should possess strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to write concisely and clearly for a variety of media. Must have an innovative mind, be able to exercise initiative, and work hands-on to bring a campaign, initiative or project from concept to fruition.
QUALIFICATIONS: Combination of education and experience demonstrative knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign, SharePoint, Drupal, HTML5.
Experience with search engine marketing, pay-per-click advertising (Google Adwords/Bing Ads), social media management.
Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
Experience in the aviation and/or parking industries.
Experience with online storefront and/or e-commerce platforms.
Experience with customer retention management and marketing automation systems.
