The Executive Director of Marketing develops and provides strategic direction for the planning and execution of hospital and service line marketing plans and integrated (system) marketing campaigns designed to meet the goals and objectives of the Central Florida Division North Region. This includes consumer and physician marketing campaigns/strategies including but not limited to, advertising, marketing, community relations, special events, sponsorship, physician relations, and customer service and identifies new business opportunities in order to develop relationships with key corporate entities/partners. Applies expertise in market research, communications, analysis, and development to coordinate strategies that competitively differentiate and build market awareness and preference for the system’s branded services. Oversees system’s messaging and design through the management of the creative and media teams. Actively participates in outstanding customer service.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Increases Florida Hospital’s image and visibility with all audiences in Volusia/Flagler: community, physicians, staff, patients, employers and payers. Strategic development of effective market positioning and integration of consistent messages and images to support that positioning throughout the system in all advertising, relationship-building activities and other marketing programs.
Facilitates and provides strategic direction for the integrated planning and execution of Hospital and Service Line marketing plans including: advertising, marketing, community relations, special events, media, sponsorship, physician relations, customer service, internal communication, new business opportunities, research/intel etc.; follows compliance guidelines for advertising activities.
Directs the integrated campaign process, strategic direction, approvals, presentations, implementation, communication, and reporting.
Utilizes market research data to support marketing strategy/integrated campaign development and maintaining competitor, consumer, and physician information.
Identifies downtrends, reports accordingly and develops strategies to maintain and grow/reverse downtrends. Maintains in-depth understanding of profitability by service line. Develops tracking mechanisms to track impact/affect of all marketing activities. Oversees the tracking, monitoring and reporting of Return on Investment reports.
Oversees creative and media teams, providing day-to-day supervision and management to ensure that all jobs meet system standards, deadlines, and budgets.
Provides oversight for the management of all (marketing) freelance agencies, photographers, videographers, and designers, adhering to all budgets and providing professional high-quality products.
Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through development of educational curriculum/workshops, tools, and strategies for growth.
Works proactively and independently showing initiative and problem-solving skills, consulting with administration and seeking advice when appropriate for situations outside authority or expertise.
Provides timely reports whenever requested.
