The Meetings and Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the organization with the planning, coordinating, marketing and administering of monthly seminars, conferences, webinars and meetings. Additionally, the Manager works with designers and the CEO to market the members and organization through campaigns and an annual report. TELECOMMUTING is allowed, however, the manager must attend ALL GTSC events.
Works with CEO to assure conference & event planning maintains fiscal discipline and adherence to customer, ethical and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for communications with speakers, sponsors and others on all logistics
Organizes any logistical needs before events including conference calls, vendor coordination, caterer etc.
Coordinates meeting attendees/groups at the direction of the CEO
Makes proactive calls, develops proactive marketing campaigns on marketing and social media programs to drive attendance and new membership
Manages meetings logistics- budgets, venue selection, programs, registration and compliance
Coordinates pre and post meeting marketing and follow-up activities
Tracks metrics to provide return on investment (ROI) and measure effectiveness
Proactively develops, schedules and manages marketing campaigns
Manage sponsorship deliverables execution
Manages and plans social media to increase registration, membership, membership retention, and reach
College degree preferred, meeting certificates a plus
Experience with constant contact, social media, and eventbrite or other online registration systems a plus
Minimum 2 years’ of experience in events activities and/or business administration/coordination environment required
Strong customer service background.
