This faculty position is based in New York City at the CornellNYC Tech campus, with continual interactions with faculty at the Ithaca campus. The CornellNYC Tech campus is located in temporary facilities prior to its permanent home on Roosevelt Island. The campus will serve as a focal point for the city's tech ecosystem, accelerating existing sectors of its economy, and driving the formation of new technology businesses through close ties to customers and unique domain knowledge. Individuals whose work fits into one of the three initial hubs at CornellNYC, Connective Media, Healthier Life, and Built Environment, are particularly encouraged to apply:
Connective Media: rapid changes in the ways in which people share their experiences offer opportunities for the creation of new companies and industries.
Healthier Life: a focus on developing promising technologies to promote healthier living and improve the quality of healthcare while addressing issues driving up the cost of health care.
Built Environment: a hub that integrates applied sciences and architecture to produce an efficient and sustainable built environment.
