Reporting to the director of content strategy and management, the manager of editorial services has primary responsibility for optimizing written communication for Keck Medicine of USC, including the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Ensures effective messaging through both written and visual communication to target audiences.
-Bachelor’s degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum Field of Expertise:
-3 years of combined experience/education may substitute for minimum education.
-Thorough knowledge of marketing and business management. Knowledge of the principles, practices, concepts and methodology of marketing. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
-Supervisory experience and 5 years' experience in communication, marketing, publications, public relations, advertising, or related field.
-Understanding of analytics and measurements of the success of programs.
-Demonstrated effectiveness in verbal and written communication skills, initiative, project management and client service.
-Strong writing, proofreading, and editing abilities
-Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
-Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively under the pressure of last-minute deadlines and changing priorities.
-Creativity and understanding of design, layout and photography.
-A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 30 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.
