Specific roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with FMS team on the overall creation and execution of marketing and communication strategies for FMS products and services including direct mail and other print collateral, e-mail communications, digital video content, and social media messaging.
Assist specifically in the development and execution of various marketing and membership initiatives. Duties include writing and proofreading promotional marketing/membership collateral, as well as creating and scheduling e-mail campaigns.
Work closely with Director to provide service to FMS’ chapter organizations. Manage the new chapter creation process, and assist chapter officers with their promotional communications, as well as updates to chapter microsites. Also maintain internal chapter dashboards and internal reporting process.
Manage the membership renewal process including writing, distributing, and scheduling dues renewal communications pieces and invoice notifications.
Together, with the Senior Specialist, the Assistant will work to schedule, write copy, and manage all print and email communications for FMS’ annual conference, seminars, webinars, and other related promotional materials.
Assist in the management of the FMS social media strategic plan and marketing calendar via planning social posts, creating reports, and identifying areas for additional outreach.
Provide information and service, as well as miscellaneous tasks to FMS members as required.
Performs special projects as assigned.
The Assistant, Marketing and Membership reports to the Director of Marketing and Membership. Qualified candidates should possess a degree in marketing, communications, social media, non-profit management, or related field and/or have 1-2 years related professional experience.
Ideal candidates are proactive, self-starters who are detail-oriented, and able to manage their time and multiple deadlines efficiently. Candidates should also possess strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Knowledge of association management, Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, and various social media applications is also preferred.
