The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a creative, committed, and clear-minded professional to serve as the Senior Assistant Director for Communications and Marketing within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment, this admissions officer will collaborate with office leaders and campus partners to develop and implement innovative communication and marketing strategies for recruiting talented students; supervise and lead the communications team; participate in the evaluation of applications and serve as a voting member of the admissions committee; and perform other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will demonstrate exemplary communication and marketing skills and the ability to solve problems, think critically, and work well with colleagues, students, parents, and educators.

Education and Experience:
-Seven years of progressive experience preferred in communications and/or marketing, preferably in admissions, recruitment, education, or a related field.
-Experience in developing and managing marketing strategies (including web and social media components) for student recruitment campaigns.
-Strong written communications skills, with writing for marketing campaigns strongly preferred.
-Experience with relevant software applications (including InDesign and other creative tools); experience with Technolutions’ Slate CRM preferred.
-Experience in staff supervision and development
-Experience in project management and in working with vendors and outside firms.
