Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Graduate Programs Office within the College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for a Program Assistant II, to act as the Assistant Director of PhD Programs and Graduate Marketing.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative assistance to the PhD program and assist with graduate programs marketing. The successful candidate will assist the PhD Program Director with: student recruitment and marketing; application processing; enrollment and course scheduling; drafting and sharing communications; data gathering and reporting; and alumni relations. The Assistant Director will also be tasked with utilizing social media to help maintain a robust image of the graduate programs, to aid in the recruitment of students, and the sharing of information. In addition, this position is also responsible for assisting the Director of Graduate Marketing and Alumni Relations with the planning alumni activities and events.
The successful candidate will possess a personable yet professional demeanor to guide PhD students through their transition to and experience at Iowa State and the College of Business.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 5 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
-Experience recruiting and working with students, preferably at the graduate level
-Experience developing and publishing web base content
-Experience with Salesforce or any other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
-Experience with event and recruitment planning and management
