We are looking for someone to join our dynamic marketing team. They function as a full-service in-house ad agency – developing and deploying multi-channel campaigns, customer communications, branding, social media, research and more. In this role, you will work with people at all levels of the organization, agencies and third party vendors.
As the leader of this area, you will design, develop and implement digital and social media strategies and communication for employees, agents and consumers utilizing multiple online channels and solutions. You will also manage and implement interactive marketing and communication plans and projects; as well as gather and analyze internal and external data to support the marketing strategy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining solid relationships with top management and business clients to drive the success of social media and digital marketing goals, tactics, and strategies. You will also enhance and manage the use of social media vehicles and resources to facilitate the marketing strategy and present a positive brand identity. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement a digital and social marketing strategy aligned with company business objectives used to achieve strategic goals focusing on profitable growth and retention. Facilitate corporate agreement around digital and social media strategic objectives for Selective. Ensure all social media marketing strategies enhance Selective’s brand position. Ensure a robust social listening process is in place, with response and escalation plans designed to address concerns and protect the corporate brand. This requires some after-hours engagement to ensure an appropriate level of service and response time. Manage and report on all digital and social marketing campaigns and platforms, including the corporate website, portals and social media platforms, as part of the broader marketing strategy. Set benchmarks, goals and measures for key performance indicators of success. Report on effectiveness and adjust strategies as necessary to maximize results. Identify, review and recommend appropriate vendor partners to enable additional marketing capabilities. When appropriate, assist with the development of a contractual relationship and manage the relationship to ensure mutual success, while driving project plans forward. Identify and utilize innovative digital and social media solutions to support marketing strategies for key stakeholders such as employees, agents and consumers - designed to inform, engage, influence and optimize those connections while supporting the company’s strategic vision. Demonstrate a superior level of presentation skills throughout all phases from creation to delivery. You must be able to represent the company point of view in high level presentations internally and externally. Work with high level executives, often requiring extended hours and immediate availability, to ensure needs are met to support growth and success of the organization. Ensure Marketing is seen as a true business partner with other business areas throughout the company. Act as advocate in digital and social media spaces, engaging in dialogue and answering questions where appropriate. .Establish and leverage substantial and influential relationships with executive management and business clients, as well external marketing partners, trade organizations and industry influencers. Develop, support and lead staff in execution of the department’s digital and social media strategies and key initiatives, including managing the budgetary impact of projects within your focus area, while adhering to corporate expense management requirements and the department’s operating and expense budget. Continuously propose and leverage innovative digital and social media solutions to identify efficiencies in current processes and help with constant improvement of marketing solutions. Conduct long term planning of complex, strategic and major digital and social marketing communication programs. Forecast digital/social marketing communication needs. Support marketing team in execution of all marketing strategies for key stakeholder groups as needed.
Qualifications: College degree in marketing or related field preferred.8+ years of experience in online, mobile, and email product marketing strategies; proven ability to drive innovate and effective marketing programs that generate results Has ability to think/plan strategically - yet deploy tactically - a "working manager". Must manage multiple high priority projects concurrently, and continuously display the ability to display the nimbleness necessary to change focus and priorities as needed Able to effectively create and deliver superior digital and social marketing presentations to employees, agents, consumers and other critical stakeholders. Inspires confidence in others and can quickly capture the trust and respect of employees at all levels of the organization, while operating with a strong sense of collaboration and relationship management. Keeps abreast of industry emerging practice and best-in-class social media initiatives, technology and strategies. Must have a thorough understanding of the insurance business model and B2B and B2C marketing channel strategies. Demonstrates a hands-on management style, performs with excellence maximizing the talent of a small flexible staff committed to a very high level of responsiveness, quality and service. Must be able to find, engage and manage outsourced firms, vendors and other high-value providers in a seamless way that best supports Selective’s business unit and overall success. Is fully capable of managing the position’s operational, administrative and supervisory duties.
