The Associate Director of Marketing and Promotions will assume responsibility for leading marketing efforts for men’s basketball and managing the department’s digital marketing initiatives, including, but not limited to display/retargeting advertisements, website management, Adobe Campaign activities, and Google Analytics. The position will seek to maximize positive exposure, generate revenue, and enhance game day experience for all assigned sports. This position will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Experience.
Develop and execute marketing plans, with a focus of increasing attendance and revenue
Improve the in-venue experience for assigned sports
Coordinate event logistics for assigned home games and special events
Develop new ways to promote our athletic teams and the department’s mission statement, while taking advantage of emerging technology.
Assist in updating and maintaining the athletics website
Use social media and analytics to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and increase sales
Collaborate with communications, ideation, ticketing, and Georgia Tech Sports Properties on digital content
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience • Four to six years job related experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Proficiency with Adobe Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to set and meet deadlines • Ability to build working relationships among diverse groups. • Maintain a thorough knowledge of and adhere to all applicable Institute, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
